Integrated into the building considered by many as the best example of art nouveau in Aveiro, the Casa Mário Belmonte Pessoa, it is a work attributed to the architects Francisco Augusto da Silva Rocha and Ernesto Korrodi.
Its façade was carefully decorated with essential Art Nouveau elements: stylised curvilinear shapes, flowers and animals. At the top, the dormer (window over the roof for interior lighting) has a Japanese arch, characteristic of Aveiro-style Art Nouveau.
